What are Dental Veneers?
You will see a lot on social media about ‘veneers.’ Veneers can look really good if the treatment is completed correctly.
However, veneers are not simply ‘caps’ stuck on the teeth like an acrylic nail! The original tooth is skilfully cut back or ‘sanded’ and the veneer (‘s) are then put over the top of the original tooth. Veneers hide the underlying problems with the teeth, such as discolouration or unsatisfactory shape of the original teeth. Veneers do not correct underlying health issues with your teeth, such as tooth decay. Tooth decay can still happen under the veneers, which makes regular visits to your Dentist even more important.
Should I have Dental Veneers?
Veneers can bring many benefits for many of our patients, due to the condition and look of their teeth. This includes discolouration, small teeth, abnormal tooth shapes and misaligned teeth. If you think you would therefore benefit from veneers, please get in touch with us!
How much do veneers cost & how long will they last?
Veneers cost £575 per tooth, due to the complexity of the treatment and the superb results we always deliver.
Veneers are not a permanent solution and they will need to be replaced after 8-10 years on average – please don’t think that they will last forever, as they won’t. We do, however, have great success rates and as long as you look after your teeth and pay regular visits to us for healthy mouth reviews.
So let’s break it down:
- 1 veneer is £575.
- It lasts for 10 years,
- That’s £57.50 per year, or;
- £4.79 per month, or;
- £0.16 per day.
We think that is a very reasonable investment, don’t you…?
